About The Position

Southeastern Council on Alcoholism and Drug Dependence, Inc. (SCADD) is seeking a skilled and dependable Maintenance Technician II to help maintain the safety, functionality, and appearance of our facilities — ensuring that every space where we serve our clients and community is clean, safe, and welcoming. As a Maintenance Technician II, you will play a hands-on role in keeping SCADD's facilities safe, operational, and well-maintained. Working out of our Lebanon Pines department and reporting to the Facilities Director, you will apply your skilled trade knowledge to handle a range of maintenance, grounds, and safety responsibilities across SCADD properties.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; three to six months of related experience and/or training preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Skilled-level experience in building maintenance, including electrical, plumbing, carpentry, or related trades
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record (no or minimal infractions) required
  • Ability to identify potential hazards and take action to ensure the safety of people, buildings, and grounds
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and respond to changing needs in a timely manner
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a mission-driven environment

Responsibilities

  • Maintain buildings by performing routine painting and minor repairs to electrical, plumbing, and carpentry systems
  • Notify management of the need for major repairs or additions to lighting, heating, and ventilating equipment
  • Maintain grounds, including mowing grass, trimming shrubs, clearing litter, and keeping fences and walls free of vegetation
  • Complete weekly fire and safety reports as assigned
  • Participate in safety committee meetings as assigned
  • Remain available after hours to respond to emergency maintenance issues
  • Ready all facilities for seasonal changes, including maintaining, installing, or removing air conditioners, and managing ice and snow removal supplies and equipment
  • Clear snow, ice, and debris from sidewalks and parking areas at all SCADD properties as assigned
  • Participate in the orientation of new employees and the transfer of knowledge necessary for the performance of duties
