About The Position

The Maintenance Tech II is responsible for performing a variety of maintenance responsibilities and repairs to facility and equipment. This role involves troubleshooting and repairing electrical, mechanical, electronic, hydraulic, and pneumatic processes, as well as performing preventative maintenance on building and production equipment. The position requires strong problem-solving skills, the ability to work independently and as part of a team, and a commitment to safety and quality standards.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 3-4 years experience performing equipment/machinery maintenance in a mechanical maintenance trade field.
  • Facilities Maintenance experience required.
  • Must have knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, procedures within the particular field.
  • Knowledgeable in use of materials, tools and equipment used in the maintenance and/or repair of facilities and machinery equipment.
  • Intermediate skills in MS Word, Excel, and other applicable database programs.
  • Knowledge of PLC, CPU, HMI, VFD.
  • Knowledgeable in use of materials, tools and equipment used in the maintenance and/or repair of facilities and machinery equipment.
  • Effectively communicate with people in potentially stressful situations.
  • Problem solving and initiative, and trouble shooting skills.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Provide professional customer service to customers, employees, and vendors.

  • Must be able to troubleshoot complex electronic circuits.
  • Must be able to troubleshoot complex problems by reading electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic schematics.
  • Must be able to document repairs.

Nice To Haves

  • 2 years electrical or electronic degree.
  • Welding, AC, Mechanic Certificate/Training.

  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, electronic, hydraulic, and pneumatic processes.
  • Welding; Design, fabricate, and repair.
  • Perform PMs on building equipment and production equipment.
  • Install, move and repair new equipment and old equipment.
  • Install and troubleshoot electrical power system; 220v, single phase and three phase power and DC and AC voltage.
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical processes without deviating from SOP’s and GMP’s.
  • Install and repair plumbing, air lines, lighting fixtures and outlets for building and grounds.
  • Perform PM on building equipment and production equipment based on time management and priority.
  • Identify and repair moderately complex electrical problems with production equipment electrical systems; PLC and computer control systems; variable frequency drives (VFD's), motor controls and other electrical and electronic devices; new 120volt and 277volt circuits to power equipment including wall switches, appliances, light fixtures, small motors, breakers, disconnects, GFI protection etc.
  • Assist other technicians as assigned to troubleshoot, repair or replace building and grounds equipment or systems, with more complex hydraulic or pneumatic system failures, assist other technicians to troubleshoot, repair or replace facility dock doors, roof leaks, concrete damage, gates, etc., when troubleshooting, repairing or installing package HVAC components, facility main power systems including main breakers, power transformers, fuses, ground fault systems (GFI), phase failure systems and current transformers (CT's) in 220 volt systems; with more complex repairs or fabrication requiring metal working and welding; with predictive maintenance (PdM) tasks on electrical systems.
  • Data entry. Input work orders, pm’s , and pertinent information needed for the maintenance pass down meeting.
  • Professional customer service to customers, employees, and vendors.
  • Create work orders and keep track of inventory using MP2 software.
  • Ensure compliance with regulations, company policies, and procedures related to team member safety, food safety, and quality programs.
  • Other duties as assigned.
