About The Position

This position is responsible for performing various skilled and semi-skilled duties in the repair and maintenance of buildings, equipment, machinery, and grounds. The role involves maintaining all buildings, property, equipment, and landscaping for the site. Responsibilities include performing minor repairs and general maintenance on heating and air conditioning systems, routine carpentry work, and replacing worn or damaged parts in machines and equipment. The technician will ensure all equipment is working correctly and under standards for the recon department, and that all buildings are kept clean, including emptying and cleaning wastebaskets and trash containers. Maintaining tools and equipment in good working condition and complying with applicable safety rules are also key aspects of this role. The position requires a visible commitment to safety by following all safety and health procedures and modeling related behaviors, as well as actively participating in safety activities aligned with Safety Excellence. Other duties may be assigned by the manager or supervisor, such as moving furniture or unloading and storing supplies. Overtime may be required as business needs dictate.

Requirements

  • Minimum High School Diploma/GED and 3 years’ experience in a related field.
  • OR any level degree/certification beyond a HS diploma/GED in a related discipline; OR 5 years’ experience in a related field.
  • Safe driver's needed; valid driver's license required.
  • Good communication and organizational skills required.
  • Regularly required to stand, walk, reach, talk and hear.
  • Frequently required to stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, squat and climb.
  • Ability to lift 1-50 pounds.
  • Vision abilities required include close, distance and color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
  • Applicants must currently be authorized to work in the United States for any employer without current or future sponsorship. No OPT, CPT, STEM/OPT or visa sponsorship now or in future.

Responsibilities

  • Perform various skilled and semi-skilled duties in the repair and maintenance of buildings, equipment, machinery, and grounds.
  • Maintain all buildings, property, equipment, and landscaping for the site.
  • Perform minor repairs and general maintenance on heating and air conditioning systems.
  • Perform routine carpentry work in the repair and maintenance of buildings, offices, etc.
  • Replace worn or damaged parts such as hoses, wiring, and belts, in machines and equipment, such as truck, street sweeper, and riding mower.
  • Ensure all equipment is working correctly and under standards for recon department.
  • Ensure all buildings are kept clean.
  • Empty and clean wastebaskets and trash containers.
  • Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition and comply with applicable safety rules.
  • Visibly demonstrate safety commitment by following all safety and health procedures and modeling the behaviors related to such.
  • Actively participate in support of all safety activities aligned with Safety Excellence.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by manager or supervisor, i.e., moving furniture, unloading and storing supplies, etc.
  • May be required to work overtime as business needs dictate.
