This role is for the 2nd Shift, working from 3 PM to 11:15 PM.

Requirements

  • Graduation from high school (or equivalent) plus at least two years of related technical training and one year on the job BTD experience or three years of on-the-job related experience in the machine maintenance field.
  • Considerable knowledge of trouble shooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Considerable knowledge of the materials, methods, practices, and tools used in electronic and manufacturing maintenance including reading blueprints and schematics.
  • Considerable knowledge of related safety requirements to include proper use of safety equipment and proper safety precautions.
  • Must be able to perform moderately complex manufacturing maintenance activities.
  • Must be able to operate general office equipment including maintenance related applications on a microcomputer.
  • Must understand and follow routine oral and written instructions.
  • Must establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain equipment and building through procedures outlined in scheduled preventative maintenance work orders.
  • Repair equipment as necessary to include General repair "M" and Emergency "X", work orders.
  • Read blueprints and schematic drawings to determine repair problems.
  • Fabricate equipment as required to include associated welding, cutting, and drilling activities.
  • Submit timely progress reports on specific maintenance projects overseen and update all involved individuals.
  • Follow department procedures to enter time and components accurately on maintenance work orders.
  • Use continuous process improvements to improve preventative maintenance procedures.
  • Replace machine parts as part of repair projects.
  • Consult with the Maintenance Lead and other personnel as required along with maintenance and/or repair projects.
  • Provide required tool assortment for position within 30 days of Tech 2 status.
  • Follow BTD safety policies including wearing proper PPE when on duty.
  • Participate in other organized activities, committees, etc. within BTD.
