This role is for the 2nd Shift, working from 3 PM to 11:15 PM.

Requirements

Graduation from high school (or equivalent) plus at least two years of related technical training and one year on the job BTD experience or three years of on-the-job related experience in the machine maintenance field.
Considerable knowledge of trouble shooting and problem-solving skills.
Considerable knowledge of the materials, methods, practices, and tools used in electronic and manufacturing maintenance including reading blueprints and schematics.
Considerable knowledge of related safety requirements to include proper use of safety equipment and proper safety precautions.
Must be able to perform moderately complex manufacturing maintenance activities.
Must be able to operate general office equipment including maintenance related applications on a microcomputer.
Must understand and follow routine oral and written instructions.
Must establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.

Responsibilities

Maintain equipment and building through procedures outlined in scheduled preventative maintenance work orders.
Repair equipment as necessary to include General repair "M" and Emergency "X", work orders.
Read blueprints and schematic drawings to determine repair problems.
Fabricate equipment as required to include associated welding, cutting, and drilling activities.
Submit timely progress reports on specific maintenance projects overseen and update all involved individuals.
Follow department procedures to enter time and components accurately on maintenance work orders.
Use continuous process improvements to improve preventative maintenance procedures.
Replace machine parts as part of repair projects.
Consult with the Maintenance Lead and other personnel as required along with maintenance and/or repair projects.
Provide required tool assortment for position within 30 days of Tech 2 status.
Follow BTD safety policies including wearing proper PPE when on duty.
Participate in other organized activities, committees, etc. within BTD.
