Maintenance Technician II - ReNew Brandon
About The Position
As a Maintenance Technician II, you operate independently across multiple trades. You complete service requests, preventative maintenance, and full turns with confidence while helping maintain high operational standards across the property. This role requires skilled repairs and diagnostics, including intermediate HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and appliance issues. It also involves operational execution such as participating in move-in/move-out inspections, maintaining inventory, and responding to on-call and emergency service requests. Safety, tools, and compliance are key, requiring safe operation of tools, diagnostic equipment, and chemical safety procedures, as well as maintaining personal tool inventory and completing required training. This role may include additional duties consistent with the position.
Requirements
- 2+ years maintenance experience required (multifamily preferred).
- Intermediate-level skills across multiple trades (electrical, plumbing, HVAC, etc.).
- Working knowledge of appliances.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Comfortable diagnosing routine HVAC, plumbing, and electrical issues.
- Ability to complete full make-ready turns independently.
- Safe use of meters and diagnostic tools.
- Proficient with work-order systems and basic computer and mobile technology.
- Availability for nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Active participation in team functions and regional or company activities is expected.
Nice To Haves
- Universal EPA Certification is preferred.
- Certified Pool Operator (CPO) Certification is preferred (where applicable).
Responsibilities
- Independently complete service requests and make-ready turns.
- Diagnose and repair intermediate HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and appliance issues.
- Conduct preventative maintenance and building inspections.
- Participate in move-in/move-out inspections.
- Maintain inventory and shop organization.
- Respond to on-call and emergency service requests.
- Demonstrate safe operation of tools, diagnostic equipment, and chemical safety procedures.
- Maintain personal tool inventory.
- Complete required safety and compliance training.
