Inspects, maintains, repairs and installs mechanical, electromechanical, pneumatic and/or hydraulic equipment at plant and/or pump stations. This role involves inspecting and performing troubleshooting on mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, or pneumatic systems to determine necessary repairs, estimating time and material costs, and dismantling equipment to repair defective parts. The technician will reassemble and test equipment to ensure it is in safe and efficient operating condition. Responsibilities also include inspecting flow meters, gauges, and related controls, performing routine and preventative maintenance on various machines and equipment, and potentially fabricating devices, welding, threading pipe, and soldering. Calibration of portable meters, facility maintenance, and manual labor such as cleaning and waste disposal are also part of the duties. The role may involve assisting with inventory management, other plant areas, and training new personnel.
