About The Position

This position is responsible for the daily maintenance and operation of all electrical, HVAC, mechanical, and plumbing equipment throughout all buildings managed by corporate facilities at all locations. This position requires daily in-office presence. The hours are from 7am-3:30pm and as early as 3am if snow removal is needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or 4 years of related experience is required.
  • 1-3 years of related experience is required.
  • Ability to work on call currently 1 week per month.

Responsibilities

  • Monitors and repairs all electrical, HVAC, mechanical, and plumbing equipment; including building temperatures; to maintain ongoing business operations, and notifies management of equipment nearing end its useful life.
  • Completes all maintenance requests received from the online maintenance system.
  • Completes monthly and annual cleaning including but not limited to filter changing and lubrication on all equipment, annual chiller inspections, grounds maintenance, and snow removal. Completes all preventative maintenance work and updates preventative maintenance schedules on all electrical and mechanical equipment.
  • Monitors equipment status as needed to ensure correct operating parameters including kitchen equipment, water heaters, chemicals in cooling towers, humidifier and water softener.
  • Repairs, installs, or moves workstation furniture and equipment whenever required; sets up meeting and conference rooms per requests.
  • Distributes and collects recycling containers from various departments.
  • Takes monthly electric, gas, and water meter readings.
  • Completes a variety maintenance tasks such as welding, soldering, painting of equipment/floors/pipes, and replaces lights or ballasts.
  • Runs water treatment tests for domestic and non-domestic water.
  • Participates as an active member of the emergency response team for all emergencies and security issues.
