About The Position

The Maintenance Technician II is responsible for developing a knowledge base of different systems within the Distribution Center. This role initiates and implements new procedures and creates designs to keep present equipment/systems operating at 100% efficiency. The technician communicates effectively with others to minimize potential downtime of equipment, follows work orders to achieve productivity, and ensures workmanship is of the highest quality. Additionally, the role involves completing daily P.I.T. (Powered Industrial Truck) checklists, operating P.I.T. equipment safely, and adhering to set safety procedures and guidelines. The technician will maintain an organized work area, promote a safe working environment within the Maintenance department, and follow all Company policies and procedures. Other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

Develops knowledge base of different systems within the Distribution Center.

Completes the daily P.I.T. checklist to ensure equipment is working properly and report any defects to management and/or maintenance.
Operates P.I.T. equipment in a safe manner.
Follows set safety procedures and guidelines to maximize personal safety.
Maintains an organized work area and promotes a safe working environment with the Maintenance department.
Follows all Company policies and procedures.
All other duties as assigned.
