About The Position

Under general supervision, the Maintenance Technician II performs semi-skilled work in the daily and preventive care, repair, and maintenance of building systems and equipment. This role involves performing plumbing, electrical, roofing, flooring, masonry, painting, mechanical, and carpentry work. As a representative and team member of the environmental services department, this position is expected to present oneself in a manner that reflects professionalism and ensures resident satisfaction.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One to two years of experience in a related field of building maintenance or construction, or any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required skills, knowledge and abilities.
• Certification, license or equivalent as required under state and/or local regulation to operate or repair certain equipment in a technical field such as HVAC, building trades or building utilities program.

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of physical location and layout of facility.
• Knowledge of principles, techniques, and methods used in the maintenance and repair of plumbing systems.
• Knowledge of principles, techniques, and methods used in the maintenance and repair of electrical systems.
• Knowledge of methods and techniques for paint application.
• Knowledge of safe utilization and operation of a variety of machinery, tools, and equipment used in the completion of daily tasks.

Responsibilities

• Acts as a representative and team member of the environmental services department, presenting oneself professionally and ensuring resident satisfaction.
