About The Position

Pitney Bowes is hiring for a Direct Hire Full Time Onsite Industrial Maintenance Technician II in our Brown Deer, WI facility. This role is for the 3rd shift, working Wednesday through Sunday from 12:00 AM to 8:00 AM. The base rate is $27/hr, with potential for higher pay based on skills, experience, and location. An additional $3.00/hr shift differential is provided for the 3rd shift. Training will be conducted on the 1st shift (Monday-Friday, 8 AM-4 PM) for the initial three weeks. The ideal candidate is a performance-driven contributor who can effectively troubleshoot, repair, or diagnose complex mechanical or electrical issues on industrial equipment with minimal supervision. This role requires a self-motivated individual eager to learn and improve efficiency and reduce downtime of industrial mail sorting equipment.

Requirements

  • 1-3 years of experience troubleshooting and repairing complex industrial mechanical equipment including mailing equipment/sortation, conveyance, PLC systems, or any other industrial electro-mechanical production equipment
  • Familiarity with Windows PC environment as it pertains to the operation of automated equipment
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, including the ability to troubleshoot equipment problems, read schematics, establish priorities, and work under deadline pressures
  • Experience with electro-mechanics troubleshooting, repairing, and performing preventative maintenance on machines and equipment

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, install, and repair complex mechanical and electronic industrial equipment including conveyor systems, and sortation machines
  • Respond to equipment break down or emergency situations
  • Utilize inventory, pm schedule, and work order systems to effectively reduce downtime
  • Assist in maintaining the spare parts/supply inventory
  • Read and interpret schematics, charts, service manuals and parts diagrams
  • Evaluate and assess equipment problems by troubleshooting and completing repairs in a timely manner
  • Perform electrical and mechanical repairs, preventative maintenance, and installations on industrial machinery including belt/pulley systems, hydraulic and pneumatic components, motors, photo-eyes, relays, drive assemblies, limit switches, proximity sensors, and solenoids
  • Use a multi-meter or any other type of electronic testing equipment to safely test or execute appropriate maintenance
  • Perform all additional duties as required
