About The Position

OnTrac is seeking a hands-on Maintenance Technician II to support maintenance activities in a fast-paced parcel sortation environment. This role is responsible for keeping conveyor and material handling systems operating safely and reliably, performing maintenance response and driving root-cause corrective actions to reduce downtime. Requirements

High school diploma or GED, technical degree or trade school certificate preferred.
1 year of related experience in industrial maintenance, automated conveyor systems, material handling equipment, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems.
Experience performing maintenance work in a 24/7 operation.
Proficiency reading and interpreting electrical schematics, blueprints, and equipment manuals.
Knowledge of LOTO, OSHA requirements, PM programs, and safe electrical work practices.
Ability to lift 60 pounds routinely.
Current driver’s license and clean driving record.

Nice To Haves

Welding and fabrication experience preferred.
Knowledge of Material Handling Systems (MHS), industrial conveyor systems and controls, VFDs, PLC, Electronic motors (480V).
Programming, GUI and or HMI experience.
Knowledge of LOTO (Lock Out Tag Out), PM’s (Preventative Maintenance), and 3-Phase electrical work.
Ability to read and understand schematics and electrical blueprints.
Solid mechanical skills and industrial electrical knowledge.
Knowledge of OSHA requirements.
Flexibility to accommodate 24-hour operations, occasionally working extended hours or weekends and holidays as needed.
Good time management skills and ability to work independently or on a team.

Responsibilities

Ensure proper operation of conveyor systems and material handling equipment to keep operations running smoothly, responding in a timely manner to all material handling systems breakdowns.
Maintain and provide routine preventive maintenance to conveyor systems.
Change and repair parts of conveyor systems, rebuild and align equipment, gears, shafts, pulleys, and belts.
Use illustrated parts breakdown manuals and operational manuals in the repair, modification, and maintenance of equipment.
Perform housekeeping duties, including work area clean-up, conveyor and equipment clean-up, and other general duties as assigned.
Conduct daily Inspections of machinery for potential problems.
May be called in after hours to ensure conveyor systems are working at optimum capacity.
Maintain and contribute to a safe work environment by adhering to policies and procedures as outlined in the Company Safety Program.
Learn and follow all safety regulations and job instructions to perform primary duties.
Work as a team with other OnTrac maintenance team members.
