About The Position

The Community Maintenance Technician is responsible for inspecting, maintaining, and repairing property assets. This role involves responding to maintenance issues and completing tasks within defined timing and quality requirements across various disciplines including mechanical, carpentry, painting, masonry, and general maintenance. The technician will also be responsible for ordering and replacing supplies, pressure washing, installing and painting signs, maintaining work order records using an iPad, and cleaning/maintaining tools and equipment. Routine equipment maintenance tests are also part of the duties. The role requires assisting with any maintenance operation to maintain workflow and meet schedules, participating in meetings to integrate activities and resolve problems, and ensuring operations comply with company policies and procedures in a safe and clean environment. The position also involves being on-call for 24-hour emergencies and working all shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Valid Driver’s License (Class B CDL preferred).
  • Demonstrate working knowledge of hand and power tools and measuring devices.
  • Ability to follow the manual & operating instructions.
  • Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office applications & internet.
  • Basic knowledge of water/wastewater operations.
  • Communicates clearly & professionally.

Responsibilities

  • Responds to reports of maintenance problems and completes tasks within defined timing and quality requirements.
  • Completes work in mechanical, carpentry, painting, masonry, and other general maintenance activities.
  • Orders and replaces doggie stations, liners and supplies related to each project.
  • Pressure washes sidewalks, pool decks, signs, rails, light poles, benches, trash cans.
  • Installs and repairs signs.
  • Paints signs and curbs.
  • Maintains files and records of work orders and task completion using iPad.
  • Cleans and maintains company owned tools and equipment.
  • Conducts routine equipment maintenance tests.
  • Assists with any maintenance operation, as required to maintain workflow and to meet schedules and quality requirements.
  • Participates in any variety of meetings and work groups to integrate activities, communicate issues, obtain approvals, resolve problems and maintain specified level of knowledge pertaining to new developments.
