About The Position
Our Laredo Distribution Center, a 187,000 sq. ft. refrigerated facility operating 24/7, is currently seeking a Maintenance Technician to join our team. In this role you will be responsible for general facility maintenance and sanitation functions. This role reports to the Maintenance Supervisor.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years work experience as a maintenance technician.
- Good working knowledge of electrical, carpentry, and plumbing required.
- Team player with positive work attitude.
- Strong understanding of general maintenance processes and methods.
Nice To Haves
- Work experience in a manufacturing environment is desired, food manufacturing experience is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine electrical and mechanical maintenance tasks.
- Participate in preventative, predictive and emergency maintenance at facility.
- Insure equipment, tools, and spare parts are available and secured when not in use.
- Follow tool control and inventory program to support routine maintenance.
- Ensure facility is adhering to our safe and healthy guidelines by performing various housekeeping tasks, i.e. power-washing.
