About The Position

As a Maintenance Technician I, you are the foundation of the maintenance team. You support property upkeep, complete routine repairs, and build essential trade skills that prepare you for advancement within multifamily maintenance. This role is crucial for maintaining property grounds and common areas, completing routine service requests, and performing minor repairs. You will also assist with inspections, preventative maintenance, and seasonal preparations, while ensuring clean work and storage areas. Responding to on-call and emergency service requests is a key part of the role, as is adhering to all company safety protocols and maintaining a basic personal tool kit. This position may include additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

• 1+ year maintenance or porter experience (multifamily preferred).
• Beginner-level exposure to electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, or painting.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Ability to safely operate hand and basic power tools to complete minor repairs.
• Understanding chemical safety procedures.
• Basic computer and mobile literacy and familiarity with work-order systems.
• Availability for nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Active participation in team functions and regional or company activities is expected.

Responsibilities

• Maintain property grounds and common areas.
• Complete routine service requests and make-ready tasks.
• Perform paint touch-ups and minor repairs.
• Replace basic hardware, fixtures, screens, and outlets.
• Assist with inspections and preventative maintenance.
• Support seasonal preparation and storm response.
• Maintain clean work and storage areas.
• Respond to on-call and emergency service requests.
• Follow all company safety protocols.
• Maintain a basic personal tool kit.
• Complete required training and compliance courses.
