2nd shift- Maintenance Technician I
About The Position
Manufacturing Maintenance Solutions (MMS) is seeking a Maintenance Technician I to support specialized tractor testing and production equipment in East Peoria, IL. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented, mechanically inclined professional with strong troubleshooting skills in electronics, controls, sensors, electrical systems, and automated equipment. As a Technician, you will independently perform preventive maintenance, diagnostics, troubleshooting, repair, calibration, and system upgrades on tractor test cells and other production-critical equipment. You will play a key role in maintaining equipment reliability, reducing downtime, and ensuring safe, efficient operations.
Requirements
- 3+ years of maintenance, electrical, controls, or industrial troubleshooting experience
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving abilities
- Experience troubleshooting electrical, electronic, and control systems
- Ability to read electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation
- Reliable attendance and a safety-first mindset
- Ability to work overtime and weekends as needed
Nice To Haves
- Knowledge of sensors, instrumentation, PLCs, and automated equipment preferred
- Experience with CMMS systems and preventive maintenance programs preferred
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
Responsibilities
- Perform preventive maintenance, diagnostics, troubleshooting, repair, calibration, and system upgrades on tractor test cells and other production-critical equipment.
- Troubleshoot electrical and control system issues.
- Repair test equipment.
- Calibrate instruments.
- Perform preventive maintenance on specialized systems including test cells, leak detection equipment, barcode scanners, particle counters, and ultrasonic receivers.
- Work closely with operations and maintenance teams to keep equipment running safely and efficiently.
- Identify opportunities to improve reliability and performance.
