About The Position

This is a full-time position in a food manufacturing environment with opportunities for advancement. The company is growing and has popular retail brands such as Red Baron®, Tony's®, and Freschetta® pizza; Mrs. Smith's® and Edwards® desserts; bibigo® and Pagoda® Asian-style snacks.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum of 0 to 2 years of related experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret safety documents, maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to complete work orders and enter the required paperwork into a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Basic electrical skills required such as ability to use a voltage/ohm meter, amp meter, using electrical schematic and understanding single phase and three phase wiring.
  • Ability to join PVC pipe, use an electric drain snake, mix concrete, grout tile troubleshoot dock leveler and ability to add/change oil on an air compressor.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals and calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, area, circumference and volume.
  • Demonstrated interpersonal skills sufficient to communicate in a professional manner with co-workers and supervisors.
  • Ability to comply with all general safety policies and procedures in accordance with Company, Local, State and Federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) rules and regulations.
  • Must be able to lift ninety (90) lbs.

Nice To Haves

  • Two-year degree in specialized maintenance trade preferred.
  • Knowledge of PLC software and ability to perform minor PLC program adjustments on equipment.
  • Arc Flash trained.
  • Ability to learn basic computer skills, including SAP Maintenance Module.
  • Ability to obtain a valid forklift license.

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on production equipment like conveyors, mixers, ovens, and packaging machines to keep production running smooth and prevent breakdowns.
  • Follow food safety rules when working around production areas, using the right cleaning procedures and food-grade materials to keep everything up to code.
  • Handle emergency repairs when equipment breaks down during production, getting things back up and running as fast as possible to minimize downtime.
  • Manage spare parts and tools inventory to make sure you've got what you need when equipment needs fixing or upgrading.
  • Always working safely, following OSHA regulations and keeping your area clean and in line with company rules.
