This role assists senior mechanics with daily tasks including machine troubleshooting, light plumbing, carpentry, electrical work, and forklift maintenance. The position also involves moving furniture, watering batteries, and changing light bulbs. Additional duties may be assigned as needed. The job requires the ability to stand for up to 10 hours and walk for up to 8 hours daily, with frequent bending, stooping, reaching, crouching, kneeling, and pushing/pulling. Lifting up to 50 pounds frequently and up to 75 pounds occasionally is also required. The role involves continuous reaching up and out, occasional climbing, and repetitive hand/arm movements. Specific vision abilities are necessary, including close and distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment. The employee must be able to wear gloves occasionally and communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing, with the ability to read safety rules, instructions, and manuals, and write reports and use email.
