About The Position

The Maintenance Technician I (Age 18+) is responsible for maintaining the Camp-Resort’s facilities, structures, and utilities, keeping them operable and in top condition. This is a SEASONAL, full-time or part-time position and reports to the Maintenance Supervisor. Maintenance Technician I is the entry-level class in the Maintenance Technician series. Under close supervision, entry-level duties are assigned in the installation, modification, design, maintenance, and repair of mechanical equipment and facilities at the Resort.

Requirements

  • 1-3 years of consistent and professional work experience in a variety of trades
  • Basic computer skills
  • Excellent communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong attention to detail, speed, and accuracy
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong work ethic and a positive attitude
  • Required to work nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Work with minimal supervision
  • Maintain a positive work environment by acting and communicating in a manner so that you get along with customers, clients, vendors, coworkers, and management
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Able to lift up to 80 lbs
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position
  • Regularly move throughout the park
  • Continuously climb, balance, stoop, kneel, bend, crouch, and crawl
  • Able to manipulate fingers, hands, and arms to reach, carry, lift, etc.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and maintain the condition of the Camp-Resort’s property, facilities, and equipment
  • Respond to maintenance requests promptly
  • Assist in planning and executing projects from start to finish
  • Troubleshoot and perform a variety of entry-level duties under close supervision in the areas of: Basic repair/maintenance of doorknobs, locks, hinges, and gates, as required
  • Carpentry
  • Drywall and Painting communal areas and exterior walls
  • Electrical (including lamps, cosmetic items, extension cords, vacuum cleaners, internet devices, replace electrical switches and outlets, and other guestroom items)
  • Plumbing (e.g., repairing and unclogging toilets, sinks, bathtubs, showers, and exterior drains)
  • Regularly update Maintenance Supervisor on the status of repairs, preventative maintenance, and other projects
  • Maintains the necessary service records on mechanical and structural systems
  • Ensure all standard operating procedures are followed for park operation while performing maintenance tasks.
  • Comply with local, state, and federal safety regulations and procedures
  • Participate in other projects and activities as assigned
