About The Position

The Maintenance Technician I is responsible for the overall and day-to-day maintenance of the apartment community. This is an on-site, full-time position with a Tuesday through Saturday schedule, or Sunday through Thursday if preferred. This position also requires availability for on-call emergencies. The company maintains a drug-free workplace and participates in E-VERIFY. All on-site property management positions require criminal background screening.

Requirements

  • Ability to perform maintenance and repairs on appliances, plumbing, electrical, and basic carpentry.
  • Skill in replacing flooring, locks, and fixtures.
  • Proficiency in painting interiors and exteriors.
  • Capability to clean and repair units for new residents.
  • Experience assisting with move-in/move-out inspections.
  • Ability to track repairs, replacements, and maintenance records.
  • Experience performing routine maintenance on equipment.
  • Ability to follow maintenance schedules based on manuals and manufacturer guidelines.
  • Willingness to assist with cleaning common areas and apartments.
  • Ability to pick up trash, pull weeds, and assist with basic landscaping.
  • Capability to support exterior repairs like fencing or concrete work.
  • Availability for after-hours emergencies.
  • Knowledge of utility shut-off locations.
  • Ability to handle light pest control.
  • Adherence to company policies and maintenance procedures.
  • Ability to work with the property team.
  • Professional attitude.
  • Must meet rental qualifications to rent if applying for a housing discount.

Responsibilities

  • Fix appliances, plumbing, electrical, and basic carpentry issues.
