About The Position

As a Maintenance Technician I, you are the foundation of the maintenance team. You support property upkeep, complete routine repairs, and build essential trade skills that prepare you for advancement within multifamily maintenance. This role is crucial for maintaining property grounds and common areas, completing routine service requests and make-ready tasks, and performing minor repairs such as paint touch-ups and hardware replacements. You will also assist with inspections, preventative maintenance, and seasonal preparations, while maintaining clean work and storage areas. Responsiveness to on-call and emergency service requests is also a key aspect of this position.

Requirements

  • 1+ year maintenance or porter experience (multifamily preferred).
  • Beginner-level exposure to electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, or painting.
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Ability to safely operate hand and basic power tools to complete minor repairs.
  • Understanding chemical safety procedures.
  • Basic computer and mobile literacy and familiarity with work-order systems.
  • Availability for nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Active participation in team functions and regional or company activities is expected.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain property grounds and common areas.

  • Replace basic hardware, fixtures, screens, and outlets.
  • Assist with inspections and preventative maintenance.
