Maintenance Technician I (Mansion Grove)
About The Position
The Neighbor Service Technician I is responsible for efficiently performing all general maintenance tasks, including service requests and turnover functions, to maintain and preserve the Neighborhood and provide a quality living environment for the Neighbors. This role focuses on ensuring Neighbors feel at home, well-cared for, and proud to live in the community. Daily operations involve the timely completion of apartment turnovers and troubleshooting/repair of mechanical systems, including basic appliance repairs and installation, plumbing, carpentry, electrical, and painting.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
- Must be available for on-call services.
- Minimum of two years experience and/or training in apartment maintenance.
- Ability to speak, communicate, read, write and understand the primary languages used in the workplace including, but not limited to, English.
- Must possess basic computer proficiency.
- Understanding of building materials and tools.
- Requires standing, climbing, balancing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, hearing, and visual acuity.
- Most work tasks are performed outdoors.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally.
Responsibilities
- Perform all general maintenance tasks including service requests and turnover functions.
- Maintain and preserve the Neighborhood to provide a quality living environment.
- Ensure Neighbors feel at HOME, well-cared for, and genuinely proud to live in the Neighborhoods.
- Complete all phases of apartment turnovers in a timely manner.
- Troubleshoot and repair most major and all minor mechanical systems.
- Assist Neighbors with basic appliance repairs and installation, plumbing, carpentry, electrical, and painting.
