About The Position

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain production and facility equipment according to safety, predictive and productive maintenance systems and processes to support the achievement of the site’s business goals and objectives. This position will be a 2nd Shift position with a work schedule of Monday to Friday 2:00pm to 10:15pm and overtime as needed on weekends. Training will be REQUIRED on 1st shift for an average of 8-12 weeks.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED (required)
  • 1+ years of experience in industrial maintenance, electromechanical, hydraulics and/or welding systems (required)
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints; ability to use all hand and power tools used in hydraulic and pneumatic systems
  • Ability to diagnose problems and determine replacement or repair of parts; make material, labor, and equipment estimates based on blueprint study; follow written and oral instructions
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and minimal technical guidance
  • Compliance with OSHA Health and Safety guidelines
  • Ability to work at heights up to approximately 50 feet.

Nice To Haves

  • Trade School or Associates Degree in maintenance or related field (preferred)
  • 1+ years of maintenance experience in a continuous operating manufacturing environment (preferred)
  • Experience in or ability to and willingness to learn PLC
  • Previous forklift Experience and ability to complete Hubbell Forklift training

Responsibilities

  • Providing scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service, and emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production.
  • Performing routine maintenance, such as inspecting drives, motors, or belts, checking fluid levels, replacing filters, or doing other preventive maintenance actions.
  • Repairing machines, equipment, or structures, using tools such as hammers, hoists, saws, drills, wrenches, or equipment such as precision measuring instruments, electrical or electronic testing devices.
  • Servicing, repairing, adjusting, and testing machines, devices, moving parts, and equipment.
  • Diagnosing problems, replacing or repairing parts, and testing and adjusting.
  • Dismantling devices to access and remove defective parts, using hoists, cranes, hand tools, and power tools.
  • Reading and interpreting equipment manuals, work orders, diagrams and blueprints to perform the required maintenance service.
  • Working with the engineering department and Mold Shop on special projects as needed.
  • Assist with mold set-up when required.
  • Practicing and promoting safety at all times.
  • Working with fellow maintenance employees to assist on larger task, repairs and/or projects.
