About The Position

Under direct supervision, performs unskilled maintenance work in the daily and preventive care, repair, and maintenance of building systems and equipment. This role involves performing plumbing, electrical, roofing, flooring, masonry, painting, mechanical, and carpentry work. It is an entry-level position that serves as an apprentice for Maintenance Technicians Level II. As a representative and team member of the environmental services department, this position is expected to present oneself in a manner that reflects professionalism and ensures resident satisfaction.

Requirements

• 1+ years of previous experience in building maintenance or custodial, or any equivalent combination of training and experience
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Current & valid Driver’s License and driving record free of major infractions

Nice To Haves

• Certification, license or equivalent as required under state and/or local regulation to operate or repair certain equipment in a technical field such as HVAC, building trades or building utilities program preferred

Responsibilities

• Perform assigned maintenance duties and routine preventive maintenance.
• Identify deficiencies and follow procedure for correcting problems.
• May be on call in case of an emergency.
