Requirements

  • A high school diploma or equivalent and two years of directly relevant training and experience.
  • Strong technical and analytical skills demonstrated through training, formal education, and/or experience.
  • Communicate verbally and in writing to collect and relay basic facts.
  • Willing to assist with more complex tasks, equipment and procedures.
  • Able to work with significant independence and adhere to all safety policies and procedures.
  • Proficient in the use of standard office software applications.
  • Able to work and contribute to a team environment where inclusiveness, integrity, honesty, and openness are valued.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate degree in a relevant technical field or equivalent education and/or experience.
  • Possesses the desire to learn and advance, as an Electrical Controls Technician.
  • Working knowledge of operations used in the maintenance of these facilities.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor, inspect, and maintain electrical systems and equipment, including switchgear, motors, generators, pumps, and fans to support reliable operations.
  • Maintain DC systems such as batteries, chargers, rectifiers, and inverters to ensure continuous power supply to station operations.
  • Support the maintenance of control systems including PLCs, HMIs, and associated control networks, along with field devices such as sensors, switches, and actuators.
  • Maintain and test safety systems including ESD panels, gas and flame detectors, and emergency activation devices to ensure compliance and safe operation.
  • Perform station maintenance activities, including but not limited to mowing, wastewater and/or environmental compliance and documentation, gas loss reporting, daily station inspections, and station operations.
  • Recognize and respond to abnormal operating conditions, while completing accurate documentation and reports in alignment with company and regulatory requirements.
  • Work collaboratively within a team environment, supporting coworkers and providing basic guidance to contractors or less experienced employees when required.
  • Follow all company policies, SOPs, and O&M procedures, while contributing to work planning and supporting continuous improvement and budgeting activities.
