Maintenance Technician I (Entry Level)

Requirements
- Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, drywall, painting, and appliance repair.
- Good customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to respond to guest service calls and work orders.
- Willingness to learn HVAC, appliance repair, and preventive maintenance.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Valid driver's license.
- Basic English language communication in order to communicate with co-workers and fully comprehend job assignments.
- Ability to perform tasks requiring bending, stooping and kneeling.
- Ability to push and pull objects or materials weighing up to 100 lbs.
- Ability to climb stairs and ladders, working at heights up to approximately 40 feet, for extended periods of time, with the ability to reach often times overhead.
- Ability to wear fitted respirator.
- Ability to grasp, lift or carry items weighing up to 50 lbs., occasionally waist high.
Nice To Haves
- Able to pass CPO certification with 180 days of hire.
Responsibilities
- Basic skills in drywall, painting/staining and wall vinyl repairs, plumbing skills including drain cleaning.
- Maintain all guestroom and public space equipment change filters, replace caulk, tile/grout, door repair to include locking mechanisms and hinges.
- Unclog toilets and sinks, touch up paint and glue peeling wallpaper.
- Complete planned scheduled preventative maintenance.
- Replace faulty plumbing components.
- Maintain accurate functioning of all equipment and tools.
- Establish a clear line of communication with the engineering leadership.
- Detailed record keeping in English is required for logs and inspection sheets.
- Assist other maintenance staff on special projects as directed by leadership; willing to "pitch-in" and help co- workers with their job duties and be an outstanding teammate.
