About The Position
Richman Property Services, Inc. is seeking a full-time Maintenance Technician to join their dynamic team in St. Petersburg, FL. This role will primarily be at Booker Creek, a 158-unit residential community, with an on-call rotation at The Exchange Apartments. The company strives to provide high-quality apartment communities and create secure, welcoming environments for residents, prioritizing exceptional customer service.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED; industry-related courses preferred
- Minimum of two (2) years of maintenance and general repair experience, or Groundskeeper experience
- Proficiency in maintenance tasks, including carpentry, electrical, plumbing, painting, etc.
- Must own basic tools as allowed by state laws
- Knowledge of local, state, and federal laws, including Fair Housing Laws
- Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently
- EPA Section 608 Type I and II or Universal Technician license strongly preferred
- Valid Driver's License required
- Proficient in English for communication and record-keeping purposes
Responsibilities
- Perform daily repair and upkeep of the property
- Prepare vacant units for occupancy within established deadlines
- Manage service requests and ensure timely completion
- Maintain compliance with OSHA standards and The Clean Air Act
- Oversee inventory and care of tools and equipment
- Complete required tasks such as training, logs, and reports in a timely manner
- Uphold company policies and provide exceptional customer service
- Seek educational opportunities for personal growth and development
- Assist in property preventative maintenance plan
- Collaborate on maintaining curb appeal and cleanliness of buildings and grounds
- Perform on-call duties and occasional overtime
