Performs maintenance services, installation or repairs in one or more skill areas such as plumbing, mechanical, electrical repairs, pneumatic, hydraulic, installation, carpentry, painting or vehicle servicing. This role involves performing routine and preventative maintenance, lubrication, and minor adjustments on machines and related equipment. The technician will learn to inspect and troubleshoot mechanical issues, dismantle and repair equipment, and reassemble and test it to ensure safe and efficient operation. Responsibilities also include facility maintenance, manual labor such as cleaning, operating vehicles, and estimating project costs. The role requires working in an operations environment, with significant time spent outdoors in various weather conditions. Potential hazards include fumes, dust, chemicals, noise, rotating machinery, high and low temperatures, slippery surfaces, and electrical hazards.
