About The Position

The Technician I, Maintenance role supports plant operations by performing preventative maintenance and repairs on production and facility equipment to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operation. Responsibilities include completing routine maintenance tasks, assisting with basic electrical troubleshooting, and working with equipment such as pumps, motors, valves, gearboxes, and bucket elevators. This position requires hands‑on mechanical work, use of tools, and the ability to diagnose and address equipment issues while working both independently and alongside experienced team members. Work is performed in an industrial environment and includes physical demands such as heavy lifting, climbing, and working at heights up to 100 feet. This role is ideal for dependable, safety‑focused individuals with a strong mechanical background who are eager to build their skills and contribute to overall equipment reliability.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred
• 0-2 years’ relevant experience required
• Must be able to stand/sit for an extended period of time
• Ability to frequently lift/push/pull up to 60 pounds
• Must be able to climb/stoop/kneel at heights up to 100 feet
• Works indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions and temperatures
• Working conditions could include: dust, fumes, moderate noise and uneven surfaces
• Has basic skills in an analytical or scientific method or operational process
• Works within clearly defined standard operations procedures and or scientific methods and adheres to quality guidelines
• Works with close supervision

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance on plant equipment, building interior and exterior.
• Maintain computerized preventative maintenance system
• Maintain current and in-depth knowledge of all safety policies and standards related to position.
• Work in a safe manner and recognizes unsafe situations, take appropriate action to ensure safety of self and others in building.
• Assist with plant activities as required
