About The Position
The Maintenance Technician I supports HSN at its Piney Flats, Tennessee fulfillment center. This onsite role performs basic maintenance and repairs on conveyors, PIT equipment, and general building systems. The technician uses a basic understanding of hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems, assists mechanics with more complex tasks, and participates in 5S and facility-cleaning activities. The position follows a 7:00 a.m.–7:30 p.m. rotating 12-hour schedule and reports directly to the Maintenance Area Manager. Relocation assistance is not available.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least two years of experience as an industrial mechanic maintaining electromechanical equipment.
- Mechanical aptitude and knowledge of electrical controls, conveyors, drives, shafts, bearings, and hand tools.
- Ability to lift 30 pounds and 70 pounds.
- Ability to climb ladders and work in varying temperatures.
- Proficiency in MS Office.
- Valid driver's license.
Responsibilities
- Perform and facilitate general facility repairs to maintain safe, operational building systems.
- Maintain production-related equipment through planned and unplanned repairs and preventive maintenance.
- Identify and report potential issues to team leaders and complete resolutions before issues affect facility operations.
- Assist other mechanics with more complex tasks.
- Participate in 5S and facility-cleaning activities.
