About The Position
The Maintenance Technician / Groundskeeper keeps two neighboring Atlanta communities, Canopy West and Woodland Commons, clean, safe, and move-in ready. You'll split your time between grounds care and hands-on maintenance, including apartment turns, work orders, and general repairs. It's a great fit for someone who likes variety and is willing to help wherever and whenever needed.
Requirements
- Basic maintenance knowledge and general handyman skills.
- Experience turning apartments and with the make-ready process.
- Some knowledge of plumbing, appliance, and drywall repair.
- Preventive maintenance knowledge.
- Ability to lift over 50 lbs and stay on your feet for long periods.
- A willingness to help wherever needed.
Responsibilities
- Pick up and maintain the grounds at both communities, which are located close to one another.
- Complete work orders, including basic plumbing, appliance, and drywall repairs.
- Prepare vacant apartments for move-in, including punch lists and the make-ready turn process.
- Remove trash and debris from vacant units.
- Support preventive maintenance at both communities.
- Assist the maintenance team where needed, when needed.
- Treat all residents consistently and professionally, in line with Fair Housing requirements.
- Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety practices.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
