About The Position

Inspects, diagnoses, and repairs mechanical defects in motorized equipment, including automobiles, trucks, tractors, and a variety of other equipment. Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Must be able to read, understand, and follow written and verbal instructions.
• Must use good judgment to work safely and use equipment properly.
• Three (3) years' experience in automotive repair with knowledge and skills in the repair of light, medium, and heavy equipment.
• Acceptable Equivalency: Combination of education, training, and/or experience which provides an equivalent background required to perform the essential job duties.
• Valid driver's license.
• Satisfactory driving record.
• Proof of eligibility to legally work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates mechanical problems in vehicles and equipment using diagnostic tools.
• Performs automotive and equipment repairs, including general overhaul on motors, hydraulic systems, electrical systems, pumps, and brakes.
• Performs emergency repairs in the field as necessary.
• Assists with ordering parts, materials, and equipment.
• Assists in the maintenance of the shop area.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
