This role is responsible for maintaining shop equipment and ensuring that machines and the facility are operating correctly. The technician will perform maintenance on production equipment and the total property, aiming to minimize downtime while staying within cost guidelines. This includes handling electrical/mechanical breakdowns, replacing or repairing parts to meet manufacturer specifications, and installing, repairing, and maintaining various mechanical, electrical, and electronic equipment such as motors, forklifts, production equipment, transformers, alarms, machines, relays, circuit breakers, and electronic devices. A strong understanding of hydraulics, electrical, and mechanical systems for both shop equipment and rolling stock is essential. The position requires following instructions with moderate supervision, adhering to company HSE rules, and performing preventive maintenance on all company equipment. The role may involve after-hours callouts and requires effective verbal and written communication skills, the ability to complete work orders, and maintain good working relationships with colleagues.
