About The Position

Allegro Parkland, a premier senior living community, is seeking two Full-Time Maintenance Technicians / Floor Care Technicians for AM and overnight shifts. This role involves performing carpet cleaning, floor care, deep-cleaning projects, preventative maintenance, and light building repairs (painting, plumbing, electrical). The ideal candidate is a self-starter who takes pride in hands-on work and maintaining a clean, safe, and beautiful environment. The primary responsibility is to assist the Maintenance Director in maintaining and operating the physical aspects of the Property, ensuring the community is covered in emergencies, and assisting with preventative and routine maintenance programs. This includes routine physical inspections of mechanical equipment, maintaining safe and organized work areas, and assisting with an online work order system. Adherence to OSHA and Company guidelines for safe working procedures, including lock-down and tag-out procedures, is required. The company is a drug-free workplace.

Requirements

  • Must be a minimum of 18 years of age.
  • Minimum of one (1) year maintenance-related experience including working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and HVAC systems.
  • Must be an independent worker with effective communication skills able to multi-task and be organized.
  • Must have positive Criminal Background Screening.
  • Adherence to the Company Drug Free Workplace policy.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in building, facilities, apartment, or hotel maintenance.
  • Experience in floor care or carpet cleaning.
  • Experience in environmental services or custodial work.
  • General handyman skills.
  • Technical school diploma preferred.
  • HVAC and other related maintenance certifications desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Perform carpet cleaning and extraction throughout the community.
  • Execute floor care and deep-cleaning projects with precision and ownership.
  • Complete preventative maintenance to keep everything running smoothly.
  • Handle light building repairs — painting, plumbing, electrical, and general maintenance.
  • Take full ownership of a clean, safe, and beautiful environment every shift.
  • Assist the Maintenance Director to ensure that the Community is always covered in the event of an emergency.
  • Assist the Maintenance Director in the preventative and routine maintenance programs to ensure that mechanical equipment, building structures and grounds are properly maintained.
  • Assist the Maintenance Director in the safe operation of all mechanical equipment through routine physical inspections.
  • Assist Maintenance Director to ensure that all maintenance work and storage areas are maintained in a safe, organized, and clean manner.
  • Assist Maintenance Director in maintaining online work order system, efficiently use the system and help delegate work orders to staff.
  • Follow OSHA and Company guidelines relating to lock down and tag out procedures that are approved for the Community and follow OSHA standards for safe working procedures.
