Requirements

Highschool Diploma or Equivalent (GED)
Employee must be a certified electrician per plant policy
Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required.
Continental is not able to pay relocation expenses for this opportunity.

Nice To Haves

Previous manufacturing experience
Prior experience with high voltage strongly preferred

Responsibilities

Performs electrical work as directed and required throughout the plant, trouble shoots and fabricates electrical equipment.
Operates all types of electrical tools and meters, forklift, aerial life, diagnostic instruments, hoist, other hand tools, and computer.
Ensures that work is in accordance with relevant codes.
Reads blueprints and follows diagrams of circuits and wiring and uses many different hand and diagnostic tools in testing and fixing equipment.
Troubleshoots electrical issues and leads repair.
Installs, maintains, and repairs electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures.
Plans and performs work requiring a thorough knowledge of electrical/electronic and mechanical theories and principles, writing specifications, local and national electrical codes, properties of various materials, and principles of operation and application of electronic equipment.
Installs, starts up and shuts down equipment in accordance with company safety procedures for machine activation and shutdown and in line with OSHA requirements.
May operate in a confined space.
