Maintenance Technician- Maintenance Technician- Electrician & Instrumentation YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES The Maintenance Technician-Electrician & Instrumentation is involved in all facets of routine and preventive maintenance at our site, supporting ongoing continuous improvement efforts related to plant productivity and efficiency. The primary responsibilities of this role, Maintenance Technician- Electrician & Instrumentation, are to Actively participates in the environmental safety health program; Organize, schedule and complete routine and preventative maintenance for on-site electrical equipment; Work with other groups within the company to develop consistency and cost savings; Become familiar with systems and diagnose issues related to equipment involved with cottonseed production; Identify, develop and implement continuous improvement opportunities; Operate equipment (when applicable) during seasonal peak periods; Position entails driving a company vehicle (pooled or assigned to the individual). This may include being required to drive greater than 8,500 business miles annually in a personal, pooled, or rented vehicle OR being expected to frequently drive a pooled car as part of your job duties – regardless of mileage. WHO YOU ARE Bayer seeks an incumbent who possesses the following:

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Basic user knowledge of standard computer programs (Internet, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, tablets/smart devices)
  • Ability to learn and use computer-based control systems and handheld data control devices
  • Valid drivers’ license (in order to be eligible to drive a company car, your driving record must meet guidelines based on the company’s risk screening for hiring drivers – Motor Vehicle Record will be reviewed as part of pre-employment screening)
  • Ability to lift up to 60lbs
  • Ability to be on call and/or work shifts as seasonal workloads demand
  • Ability to thrive in a team-based work environment

Nice To Haves

  • 5 plus years of electrical maintenance skills in an industrial manufacturing environment
  • Advanced training in trade school / college
  • Electrical troubleshooting skills
  • Experience with maintenance of automated systems
  • Familiar with predictive and preventative maintenance procedures
  • Able to read and troubleshoot ladder logic in PLC’s

Responsibilities
