This role is for a Maintenance Technician specializing in electrical systems, working on the 3rd shift (Monday-Friday, 10pm-6am). Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 3+ years of direct manufacturing experience in electrical and mechanical maintenance or an associate’s degree in a related technical discipline.
  • High level of proficiency and mental as well as physical alertness.
  • Ability to work independently with resourcefulness, originality, and initiative.
  • Understanding of functional criteria for control systems, power systems, and electronic device selection.
  • Soft skills, interacting, positive reinforcement, teamwork, we not me attitude, highly cooperative, attentive, leading by example, etc.
  • Skills and competencies further defined in attached functional expectations for this position.
  • Must attend specified hours in relevant and accepted CEUs for electrical codes and safety to maintain and stay current as well as comply with State of Wisconsin license criteria for Industrial Electrician, Journeymen Maintenance Technicians.

Responsibilities

  • Monitors and advises on proper electrical installation and troubleshooting techniques, verifying that electrical and control standards and compliance guidelines/requirements are followed (NFPA 70E, NEC, etc.).
  • Participates in, and writes Lockout Tag out procedures, for new and upgraded equipment/facility installations, utilizing audits and PMs to stay current.
  • Performs PLC install, replacement, diagnostics, and program changes.
  • Performs PC based control installs, replacement, diagnostics, and program interpretation.
  • Troubleshoots robotic control and feedback devices.
  • Troubleshoots and replaces electrical field devices/components.
  • Sources and sizes electrical supply for equipment modifications and installs, including wire runs up to 480V.
  • Assesses electrical training needs within the maintenance group for safety as well as developmental needs.
  • Maintains a safe working environment and follows GMP practices.
  • Troubleshoots, repairs, and replaces mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic parts.
  • Utilizes predictive maintenance diagnostic tools and documents results.
  • Participates in Continuous Improvement initiatives and Root Cause Analysis.
  • Trains and supports other team members.
