About The Position

The Maintenance Technician (Electrical Focus) is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining industrial electrical systems, production equipment, and facility infrastructure. This role supports the operation by maintaining 120V, 240V, and 480V three-phase electrical systems, as well as mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment, to ensure safe and efficient production.

Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of industrial electrical systems, including 480V three-phase power and motor controls.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic maintenance practices.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, and technical manuals.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify root causes and implement lasting corrective actions.
  • Ability to maintain positive working relationships with employees at all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written form, including providing repair updates and recommendations.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and respond to changing production needs.

  • Working knowledge of PLC troubleshooting is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain industrial electrical systems, including 120V, 240V, and 480V three-phase power.
  • Diagnose and repair motors, motor starters, contactors, relays, disconnects, transformers, sensors, limit switches, and variable frequency drives (VFDs).
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, equipment manuals, and work orders to perform required maintenance and repairs.
  • Assist with machine installations, electrical upgrades, and modifications to production equipment and facility systems.
  • Perform highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production machinery, equipment, and plant facilities.
  • Provide emergency and unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production hours and perform scheduled maintenance during planned downtime.
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems on manufacturing equipment.
  • Diagnose equipment problems, replace or repair defective components, test equipment, and make adjustments as needed.
  • Perform preventive maintenance on machines, equipment, and facility systems.
  • Use a variety of hand tools, power tools, electrical test instruments, and material handling equipment in performing duties.
  • Perform routine building and property maintenance, including lighting, air compressors, HVAC systems, and general facility repairs.
  • Maintain an organized spare parts inventory and notify management of parts or materials that need to be ordered.
  • Comply with all safety regulations, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), arc flash procedures, and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Maintain clean, safe, and orderly work areas.
  • Adhere to all Quality Management System (QMS) procedures, work instructions, and related documentation; continually look for improvements to increase efficiency, conformance to requirements, and customer satisfaction.
