The Maintenance Technician / Driver supports the daily operations of our senior living community by assisting with maintenance needs, completing resident work orders, maintaining a safe and attractive environment, and transporting residents to appointments and community outings.

  • Basic knowledge of maintenance, repairs, and building systems.

  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, climb ladders, and perform physical work throughout the day.
  • Active Utah Driver's License.
  • Clean driving record.
  • Ability to safely operate a passenger bus or large vehicle.
  • Ability to pass any required background screenings.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience transporting seniors is preferred but not required.
  • Previous maintenance experience in senior living, healthcare, hospitality, apartments, or commercial facilities.
  • Experience working with older adults.
  • General knowledge of plumbing, electrical, painting, drywall, and building maintenance.

Responsibilities

  • Complete resident maintenance work orders in a timely and professional manner.
  • Perform light repairs in resident apartments and common areas.
  • Assist with painting, touch-up work, and apartment refreshes.
  • Replace light bulbs, ceiling tiles, and air filters.
  • Perform basic plumbing repairs such as unclogging drains, fixing leaks, and replacing fixtures.
  • Assist with minor electrical repairs and troubleshooting.
  • Assemble, move, and install furniture, equipment, and fixtures.
  • Conduct routine inspections of resident rooms and common areas.
  • Support preventative maintenance programs throughout the community.
  • Maintain building grounds, walkways, and exterior appearance as needed.
  • Assist with seasonal maintenance and weather-related projects.
  • Help ensure compliance with community safety standards.
  • Report maintenance concerns, safety hazards, and repair needs to the Plant Operations Director.
  • Maintain maintenance tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean and organized condition.
  • Safely transport residents to appointments, outings, and scheduled activities.
  • Operate the community bus and other company vehicles.
  • Assist residents with entering and exiting vehicles safely.
  • Ensure transportation schedules are followed promptly and professionally.
  • Conduct vehicle safety inspections before and after use.
  • Maintain cleanliness and appearance of transportation vehicles.
  • Follow all traffic laws and company transportation policies.
  • Provide friendly, courteous, and compassionate customer service during transportation services.
