Maintenance Technician / Driver (Part-Time)

The Maintenance Technician / Driver supports the daily operations of our senior living community by assisting with maintenance needs, completing resident work orders, maintaining a safe and attractive environment, and transporting residents to appointments and community outings.

- Basic knowledge of maintenance, repairs, and building systems.

- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, climb ladders, and perform physical work throughout the day.
- Active Utah Driver's License.
- Clean driving record.
- Ability to safely operate a passenger bus or large vehicle.
- Ability to pass any required background screenings.
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience transporting seniors is preferred but not required.
- Previous maintenance experience in senior living, healthcare, hospitality, apartments, or commercial facilities.
- Experience working with older adults.
- General knowledge of plumbing, electrical, painting, drywall, and building maintenance.
Responsibilities
- Complete resident maintenance work orders in a timely and professional manner.
- Perform light repairs in resident apartments and common areas.
- Assist with painting, touch-up work, and apartment refreshes.
- Replace light bulbs, ceiling tiles, and air filters.
- Perform basic plumbing repairs such as unclogging drains, fixing leaks, and replacing fixtures.
- Assist with minor electrical repairs and troubleshooting.
- Assemble, move, and install furniture, equipment, and fixtures.
- Conduct routine inspections of resident rooms and common areas.
- Support preventative maintenance programs throughout the community.
- Maintain building grounds, walkways, and exterior appearance as needed.
- Assist with seasonal maintenance and weather-related projects.
- Help ensure compliance with community safety standards.
- Report maintenance concerns, safety hazards, and repair needs to the Plant Operations Director.
- Maintain maintenance tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean and organized condition.
- Safely transport residents to appointments, outings, and scheduled activities.
- Operate the community bus and other company vehicles.
- Assist residents with entering and exiting vehicles safely.
- Ensure transportation schedules are followed promptly and professionally.
- Conduct vehicle safety inspections before and after use.
- Maintain cleanliness and appearance of transportation vehicles.
- Follow all traffic laws and company transportation policies.
- Provide friendly, courteous, and compassionate customer service during transportation services.
