About The Position

Legum and Norman is hiring an experienced residential Maintenance Technician for its condominium community in Alexandria.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent is required.
• 2+ years of residential maintenance experience from the association, apartment, vacation rental, or hotel industries.
• Excellent communication skills, follow-up, and follow-through.
• Customer service driven.
• Proactive, takes ownership and initiative to maintain and repair property as needed.
• Punctual, on-time, reliable, and dependable.
• Takes pride in their work.
• Valid driver's license, clean driving record, and reliable transportation is required.

Responsibilities

• Act as the right-hand person to the Onsite Manager.
• Serve as a Subject Matter Expert in all maintenance-related matters.
• Propose ideas and solutions to the Onsite Manager, and establish routine and preventative maintenance schedules.
• Inspect the property, identify issues, and perform necessary repairs.
• Review and prioritize maintenance requests.
• Perform general maintenance tasks including HVAC, drywall, paint, plaster, patching, plumbing, and electrical work.
• Coordinate with vendors and contractors on-site.
• Participate in shared on-call duties, including nights, weekends, holidays, and emergencies.
• Perform other duties as requested.
