About The Position

AMERI-CANS is looking to hire a full-time Maintenance Technician with CDL A at our Ruther Glen, VA location. This is a critical role supporting the day-to-day execution of a rapidly growing portable sanitation company that takes pride in doing things the right way and executing the impossible.

Requirements

1 year of truck driving experience (CDL license Class A), and DOT medical card must be obtained prior to commencing employment
A valid driver's license and safe clean driving record
Strong knowledge of safety regulations, to be familiar with not just traffic laws but rules regarding how often they are required to rest, maximum miles driven and the like.
Adherence to a background check.
Must have authorization to work in the United States of America. Some of the job sites that we support require U.S. American citizenship and a clean criminal history to access their sites.

Nice To Haves

Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time; move fingers and hands, ability to stoop, crawl, bend, twist, reach, and crouch.
Perform the essential duties with minimal or no supervision.
Lift and carry up to 50lbs and drag 185lbs.

Responsibilities

Upkeep, repair, and general maintenance of tools and equipment.
Deploy on repair and maintenance calls as needed.
Perform installations of restroom facilities, related systems, and equipment.
Conduct small engine repair and general mechanical work.
Perform welding tasks for equipment repair and fabrication.
Carry out plumbing work, including freshwater and waste system maintenance.
Handle electrical work (AC/DC) for facility and equipment systems.
Execute carpentry tasks related to structural upkeep, repairs, and custom builds.
