About The Position

Grimmway Produce Group is seeking a Maintenance Technician B skilled at general maintenance with little need for training or direct supervision for most machine and processing equipment. The level of ability falls in between a Tech A, which is highly skilled, and a Tech C which is considered to have entry level maintenance skills. This position is capable of handling most machinery and repair requirements, can perform mid-tier troubleshooting, and has some ability to weld, utilize most tools, meters, etc. Whether you are a current GPG team member looking to grow your career or a professional seeking a rewarding opportunity in agriculture, this position offers the chance to contribute to one of the world’s largest carrot and organic vegetable grower, packer, and shippers. Requirements

5 years of experience in a production/processing environment.
Entry level of welding/soldering knowledge and ability.
Skilled in all manner of machine/equipment operation with an understanding of pneumatic and hydraulic utilization.
Skilled at a variety of hand and power tools, meters, and material handling equipment.
Ability to be flexible and operate under stressful situations while keeping a cool head and focus on overall goals and objectives.
Must be able to read and understand written information in English.
Must have a valid driver’s license and maintain a driving record that meets company policy, insurance, and DMV requirements.
Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a pre-employment screening consistent with applicable state and federal law.

Nice To Haves

Working knowledge of plumbing and carpentry functions.
AA degree or a combination of education and experience in mechanical or industrial maintenance.

Responsibilities

Handle most machinery and repair requirements.
Perform mid-tier troubleshooting.
Weld and utilize most tools and meters.
Dismantle devices using hoists, and hand/power tools to remove defective parts.
Determine form, texture, and wear and tear of most parts with calipers, micrometers and other measuring instruments.
Utilize various hardware/software formats for day-to-day operation and gain an understanding of technology as it pertains to production and processing equipment.
Operate in an ethical manner with high integrity at all-times.
Maintain Grimmway Farms confidential and proprietary information.
Travel occasionally.
