About The Position

The Maintenance Technician position supports the plant by checking, inspecting, troubleshooting, repairing, replacing, and maintaining industrial manufacturing equipment. Schedule: 7am to 3:30pm Mon - Fri

Requirements

  • High school diploma
  • Five or more years’ experience in an industrial environment as a maintenance employee performing Preventive (planned) and Corrective (unplanned) Maintenance
  • Knowledge of and experience working in all the following areas: Power Transmission – chains, belts, gearboxes, bearings, brakes, couplings, etc.
  • Knowledge of and experience working in all the following areas: Lubrication – oils, greases, storage and handling, application, etc.
  • Knowledge of and experience working in all the following areas: Hydraulics & Pneumatics – valves, actuators, compressors and pumps, piping and tubing, etc.
  • Knowledge of and experience working in all the following areas: DC Circuits – relays, contactors, power supplies, etc.
  • Knowledge of and experience working in all the following areas: AC Circuits (120V to 480V) – motors, drives, transformers, etc.
  • Knowledge of and experience working in all the following areas: Process Controls
  • Knowledge of and experience working in all the following areas: Industrial Automation – robotics, PID, machine control, etc.
  • Knowledge of and experience working in all the following areas: PLCs & Networking – Allen Bradly, communication, signals, I/O, LANs, etc.

Nice To Haves

  • Associates degree or 2+ years of vocational training
  • Experience with maintenance technologies such as Vibration Analysis, Thermography, Ultrasound Inspection, Oil Analysis, and Precision Alignment
  • Certifications in mechanical/industrial fields (electrician, millwright, welding, controls etc.)
  • Certified Maintenance and Reliability Technician (CMRT)

Responsibilities

  • Perform periodic, scheduled inspections and checks of equipment to determine whether failures or issues are present and determine how soon the corrections/adjustments may need to be made
  • Assemble and disassemble machines to make repairs, perform inspections, and replace with new items while maintaining safety and production goals in mind
  • Troubleshoot equipment to identify root cause(s) and suggest appropriate follow-up actions
  • Identify failed components and determine necessary replacement parts
  • Interact directly with production and other plant teammates in a professional manner
  • Utilize a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to receive work instructions, identify parts that belong to machines, and fully document work performed
  • Comply with all safety and environmental protocols relating to operations
  • Locate spare parts in the storeroom and follow stock check-out processes
  • Maintain a dedicated toolbox and shared maintenance tools and supplies in a organized manner so that materials can be accessed quickly and reliably
