About The Position

This is a senior-level role within the Maintenance Technician position. The primary focus is on resolving technical problems related to maintenance operations, improving equipment and facility operating efficiencies, and assisting with the upkeep and allocation of physical facilities and resources. The role requires significant experience within the discipline and a thorough working knowledge of the subject matter. The individual will handle complex issues, escalating only the most complex to higher staff levels. Key attributes include accountability, collaboration, excellent communication, the ability to work independently with limited direction, strong organizational, time, and project management skills in a Lean environment, and the ability to work well in a team while contributing at a high level. The role also demands self-motivation, multitasking abilities, problem-solving skills, and a detail-oriented, accurate approach.

Requirements

• High School Diploma
• 5-7 years of experience
• Proficient with Windows Operating System
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Significant experience within discipline and thorough working knowledge of subject matter.
• Ability to work independently and follow through on assignments with limited direction.
• Strong organizational, time and project management skills in a Lean environment.
• Ability to work well in team environment as well as to contribute at a high level at all times.
• Self-motivated and multi-tasker; able to level load own workload.
• Problem solving, well organized, detailed oriented and accurate.

Responsibilities

• Install conduit for newly installed machines using hand tools.
• Troubleshoot and repair/replace mechanical equipment.
• Assist with retrofitting outdated lighting throughout the building.
• Assist with maintaining HVAC/RTAC units.
• Assist with repairing HVAC/RTAC units and Air Handler units on roof top.
• Assist with repair and replace VAV box heaters, motors, and controls.
• Set-up of various types of production equipment (including: DMS & Thermwood CNC machine, Oil heaters, Dust collection system, Presses, etc.).
• Perform equipment and building maintenance PM’s.
• Perform business management duties such as maintaining records and files, preparing reports and ordering supplies and equipment.
• Assist with all types of building maintenance.
• Welding & Fabrication.
• Diagnose and replace faulty mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components of machine and equipment.
