About The Position

The Ackermann Group is seeking a full-time Maintenance Technician 2 to join their team at The Oaks, a 181-unit community located in Reynoldsburg, Ohio. This role involves performing unit make-readies and maintenance requirements, including assisting with snow removal, grounds upkeep, equipment upkeep, and basic service requests. It is a training role designed to enhance employee proficiency in the maintenance trade.

Requirements

1 or more years of related experience that demonstrates a broad knowledge of general maintenance
Exceptional attention to detail
A positive, team-oriented attitude
A valid driver’s license with proof of insurance
High school diploma or equivalent

Nice To Haves

EPA Type I & II, CAMT, and/or CPO certifications

Responsibilities

Perform unit make-readies and maintenance requirements.
Assist with snow removal and grounds upkeep.
Perform equipment upkeep.
Handle basic level service requests as needed.
Conduct physical activities related to exterior grounds maintenance.
Perform janitorial duties to preserve and maintain the apartment community and its facilities.
Manage pool water if applicable.
Work with other maintenance personnel to perform unit make-ready process and intermediate level repairs (Plumbing, Electrical, Carpentry, Appliance Repair, HVAC & Painting).
Participate in the move-in/out inspection process.
Perform general property maintenance as identified by supervisor.
Participate in snow event preparation and removal.
Respond to periodic after hours “emergency” maintenance requests.
Participate in community and equipment related preventative maintenance tasks.
Participate in inventory management of maintenance line items as needed.
Take responsibility for other work-related tasks as assigned by Community Manager or Maintenance Supervisor.
