About The Position

Husco is hiring a Full Time Maintenance Technician 2 for a weekend position, working Friday to Monday, 10am-8pm. This role involves performing preventative maintenance, routine, and emergency repairs on production and facility equipment, ensuring safety and effective communication. The technician will troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems, including CNC machines, assembly line equipment, and automated systems. Responsibilities also include operating fabrication tools, managing industrial waste, interpreting technical documents, and working independently to maintain high standards of quality and efficiency. The position encourages suggesting improvements to equipment and manufacturing processes and assisting the engineering team on special projects. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated competency in mechanical and electrical repairs.
  • Valid driver’s license and forklift certification.
  • Strong troubleshooting, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Adaptability and teamwork.
  • Intermediate PC knowledge.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform work on ladders and elevated platforms.

Nice To Haves

  • 1–3 years (or more) of experience in industrial maintenance.
  • Hands-on experience with CNC machines, PLCs, hydraulics, pneumatics, and vision systems.
  • Familiarity with special-purpose machinery and automated systems.
  • Proficiency and knowledge of codes and regulations (OSHA, Arc Flash, LOTO, etc.).

Responsibilities

  • Perform and Document Repairs: Conduct preventative maintenance, routine, and emergency repairs to support production and facility equipment, ensuring safety and effective communication with management and peers.
  • Troubleshoot and Repair Systems: Work on mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems, including CNC machines (Okuma MA600HB/Makino a61nx-a81nx), assembly line equipment, automated assembly/test equipment, and general facility infrastructure.
  • Operate Fabrication Tools: Utilize tools such as lathes, mills, and drill presses for part repair and modification.
  • Industrial Waste Management: Ensure proper handling and disposal of hazardous and universal waste in compliance with regulations.
  • Technical Documentation: Read and interpret technical documents, including schematics and equipment manuals.
  • Independent Work: Maintain high standards of quality and efficiency while working independently.
  • Suggest Improvements: Propose enhancements to equipment and manufacturing processes to improve uptime, reliability, and safety.
  • Assist Engineering Team: Collaborate on special projects with the engineering team.
