The Maintenance Technician is focused on troubleshooting equipment, determining appropriate repairs, part replacement, maintaining machinery and equipment, including the repair and installation of machinery and reports to Maintenance Leadership. This role is perfect for an individual who has a safety mindset, is a team player, organized and flexible. Requirements

  • 3 years’ experience as a Maintenance Technician in a production floor environment.
  • Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude
  • Mechanical plant maintenance including the repair and installation of machinery and equipment as assigned and directed by supervisor.
  • Ability to diagnose and repair equipment controlled by PLC’s and interpret ladder logic programs.
  • Troubleshoot to determine appropriate repairs including the replacement of defective parts.
  • Basic understanding of pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
  • Assemble, install, test, and inspect machines and equipment as needed.
  • Assist with the completion of all required preventative and routine maintenance of equipment and machinery.
  • Assist in upgrading equipment including fabrication of parts.
  • Ability to troubleshoot problems using prints.

Responsibilities

  • Working with production to ensure timely repair of equipment is essential.
  • Conduct repairs and replacements of faulty components to ensure continuous production processes.
  • Ensures continuous operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventing maintenance requirements on motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines.
  • Follows diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer’s instructions, and engineering specifications to complete maintenance tasks.
  • Maintains continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical issues, implementing timely and effective solutions.
  • Repair and replace faulty components and equipment.
  • Assist in the installation of new machinery and equipment as needed.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on mechanical systems and equipment, including CNC saws, according to established schedules.
