About The Position

Richman Property Services, Inc. (RPS) is seeking a full-time Maintenance Technician to join their team in Stamford, CT. The company strives to provide high-quality apartment communities where residents feel at home, prioritizing exceptional customer service and creating secure, welcoming environments.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum of two (2) years of apartment maintenance experience within a multi-family environment
  • Proficiency in maintenance tasks, including carpentry, electrical, plumbing, painting, etc.
  • EPA I & II or EPA Universal (or EPA Section 608 Type I and II or Universal Technician license)
  • Experience with Yardi property management software products
  • Superior customer/Resident service skills
  • Valid/active Driver's license
  • Must own basic tools as allowed by state laws
  • Knowledge of local, state, and federal laws, including Fair Housing Laws
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently
  • Proficient in English for communication and record-keeping purposes

  • Industry-related courses preferred

Responsibilities

  • Perform daily repair and upkeep of the property
  • Prepare vacant units for occupancy within established deadlines
  • Manage service requests and ensure timely completion
  • Maintain compliance with OSHA standards and The Clean Air Act
  • Oversee inventory and care of tools and equipment
  • Complete required tasks such as training, logs, and reports in a timely manner
  • Uphold company policies and provide exceptional customer service

  • Assist in property preventative maintenance plan
  • Collaborate on maintaining curb appeal and cleanliness of buildings and grounds
  • Perform on-call duties and occasional overtime
