A general maintenance worker ensures buildings and facilities are safe, functional, and compliant by performing routine repairs, preventative maintenance, and troubleshooting across various trades (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry). Key duties include inspecting, repairing, and cleaning equipment, maintaining grounds, and responding to work orders.

Requirements

  • Inspect, repair, and maintain HVAC systems, plumbing, and electrical systems to prevent failures.
  • Perform carpentry, painting, drywall repairs, and fixing, adjusting or replacing furniture, locks, and appliances.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and safety of the building exterior and interior, including removing debris, painting, and pressure washing.
  • Adhere to safety regulations, building codes, and security procedures (locking doors, monitoring systems).
  • Maintain detailed records of work orders, maintenance logs, and inventory of supplies.

Responsibilities
