About The Position

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing preventive, corrective, and troubleshooting maintenance on production and facility equipment. This role requires strong mechanical skills along with developing knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems. The technician works with limited supervision and plays a key role in ensuring equipment reliability, efficiency, and safety.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED
2–5 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing or production environment
Strong mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills
Basic electrical troubleshooting knowledge
Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical documents
Knowledge of OSHA standards and Lockout/Tagout procedures
Experience with CMMS or digital work order systems

Nice To Haves

Post-secondary technical training or certification
Experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems

Responsibilities

Perform preventive maintenance based on schedules and equipment needs
Diagnose and repair mechanical components (belts, gears, bearings, seals, chain drives)
Conduct basic troubleshooting on electrical systems (motors, switches, relays, sensors)
Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and diagrams
Assist with equipment installations, upgrades, and minor fabrication tasks
Support troubleshooting of hydraulic and pneumatic systems
Collaborate with production teams to resolve equipment issues
Minimize downtime and improve equipment performance
Participate in root cause analysis for recurring issues
Follow OSHA standards and Lockout/Tagout procedures
Perform safety inspections and maintenance on safety systems (e.g., emergency stops, guarding)
Maintain a safe and organized work environment
Maintain accurate maintenance records
Update CMMS work orders consistently and thoroughly
Serve as a technical resource for junior maintenance team members
Support continuous improvement initiatives
