About The Position

For over 35 years, The BridgeWay has been connecting with communities throughout Arkansas and beyond, offering a continuum of services designed to help children, adolescents, and adults experiencing behavioral, emotional, or addictive problems. The Maintenance/Painter performs a variety of duties in and around the hospital buildings to ensure the facility is safe, efficient, attractive, and orderly. This role involves repairing and maintaining machinery, mechanical equipment, and buildings, as well as providing basic repairs to facility equipment, systems, exterior property grounds, and all facility components. Daily duties include general cleaning, painting, waste removal, and basic building care. The BridgeWay is part of Universal Health Services, Inc. Requirements

  • Valid state driver’s license and a passing motor vehicle record check (to be completed upon hire and annually).
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of one year experience in maintenance/engineering.
  • Basic knowledge of maintenance and operation of HVAC equipment, mechanical equipment, electrical, plumbing, life/safety systems, and grounds maintenance.
  • Familiar with use of power tools and precision measuring and testing instruments.
  • Must be available for after hours, overtime and call-in emergencies.
  • Ability to read and follow direction.
  • Ability to work efficiently and according to schedule.
  • Ability to interact in a positive manner and communicate well with patients, families, co-workers, supervisor and other hospital employees.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions.

Nice To Haves

  • Electrical license preferred.
  • Experience in a health care environment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform a variety of duties in and around the buildings of the hospital to maintain the facility in a safe, efficient, attractive, and orderly condition.
  • Repair and maintain machinery, mechanical equipment, and buildings.
